Web 2.0 - the Read/Write Web
Web 2.0 refers to a second generation of web technologies which allow users to easily create online content online, often without having to download software. Not only are we "reading" the web, but we are "writing" the web. Blogs, wikis, social networking sites, and podcasts are all part of the explosion of web 2.0 applications. Millions of people are now creating their own voice on the web using these applications, which led Time magazine to name "you" as the person of the year.
